You can't even enter the building without going up a flight of stairs 6. hallways are narrow, nothing is handicap accessible. Luckily my neighbors weren't feeling frisky but I would imagine that earplugs are needed if your neighbors furniture squeaks as much as ours did. there were earplugs on the nightstand next to the bed. as a result ANY motion makes the bed squeak LOUD. the bed like all the furnishings are old or period accurate. imagine a cruise ship, but with Victorian furniture and paintings and wall paper which is all super busy making things feel even more claustrophobic than if things were decorated modern. the bed (queen) takes up almost the entire room. you have to jump or use a step ladder to get into the bed 2. if you are into Victorian type decoration this is the place for you. lots of interesting art and very nice wood work/moldings all over the place. beautiful courtyard for dining or relaxing 5. easy access to everything by foot or quick drive. right in the middle of the historic district down town. ![]() I am pleased to hear, however, that my management team was willing to accommodate your travel changes outside of our policies and did so with kindness and compassion.Visited this location on a whim last second while driving through town. We would have been more than happy to help you find a different room that would better suit your needs, or we would have been glad to help you find accommodations elsewhere if a more modern hotel was to your liking. Much of the Historic District in Downtown Savannah is not handicap accessible, as most of the buildings and cobblestone streets are 150+ years old. If there was something wrong with your breakfast, they are always happy to remake it for you or get you something different. Our food is prepared fresh every day by in-house chefs. We appreciate your feedback and will keep it in mind once these renovations occur in the very near future.
